Still drooling on the idea of someday being able to afford and own a Makerbot. I always had this idea on the back-burner to start an open tech lab for underprivileged kids who doesn't have ways and means or access to this type of hands-on education and technology. I myself went through the same path and how I wish I had access to a tech shop or mentoring to transform my ideas to reality. Yes, I am using my kids as the driving force to help me raise funds and to promote the idea behind Prototoys.com's mission of building better minds.
